WRANGELL Glassing Pad

Experienced Big Game Guides will tell you that the greatest factor to increasing your ability to spot animals is to be comfortable while glassing. Distractions such as being cold, sitting on uneven terrain or sharp rocks and getting wet all decrease your effectiveness in spotting game.

WRANGELL set out to address all these issues and created a new product in the process. Ergo, the WRANGELL Glassing Pad! Say goodbye to cold, damp and uncomfortable seating while searching for meat for the freezer or spending days on end glassing for a trophy animal while guiding. This handy glassing pad adds insulation between you and the ground, is padded with dual layer closed cell foam and is constructed from waterproof TPU coated 500 denier CORDURA® Nylon.

When not used as a glassing pad, it conveniently stows between your backpack and frame and adds additional padding for your back when hauling those extra heavy loads.

Ive been using the captain's duffels for 4 months now as emergency bags in my commercial aircraft and the durability and ideal size for small bush planes makes this a fantastic addition to keeping the essentials for safe travel in Alaskas backcountry tidy and organize throughout the seasons of a year round air taxi operation. I recommend them to all my clients as the way to pack gear!

I’ve been using the meat sling since 2019 and I have packed out 8 moose with it. The pocket in the front is perfect for a headlamp, knives, and game bags. The fabric makes it easy to clean up. I typically dunk it the river or spray it down with a hose.

I’ve used this bag two hunts so far and I couldn’t be happier. The way the bag compresses empty is great when hunting out of a spike camp. When the bag is full, the compression straps keep the load stable and secure. I own a Kuiu, Stone glacier, and Barney’s bag and nothing matches the durability and functionality of the Wrangell bag.

I got this bag off of the prize table at a local hunting event. The bag is well made and fits quite a bit of stuff. As a pilot I immediately thought of using at as my go to plane bag, loaded with tools, survival equipment and cold weather emergency equipment. Fits perfectly in the back and has no issues carrying the equipment. Had about 45 pounds of gear in it and I feel like it could hold more weight in it. Overall good product, 5 stars for ease of use, Weight and durability.
